On election night, the efforts of hundreds of volunteers and supporters culminated in an epic victory for the 18th district, position 2 seat in the State House of Representatives.  I’m fortunate and humbled to be filling that role.  Finding the words to properly thank everyone who helped me in this effort is a difficult task.

Being new to inside politics, it necessitated forming a team of professionals that helped guide me over the inevitable campaign speed bumps.  Without their help, the campaign journey would have been treacherous.  Thank you to the Team of 8 who stuck with me during the past 15 months.  Your help will be impossible to measure.

And thanks to the many early supporters that had faith in me and my background.  However, it is obvious that campaigns can’t run on faith alone. These early supporters understood that and stepped up to help in a big way.

Throughout the campaign, hundreds of additional supporters helped us gain the momentum needed to take us over the finish line.  To all who gave of your time and resources – – thank you so very much.

To the teams of doorbellers and phone bankers – – we could not have done it without you.  These teams were persistent and worked tirelessly to distribute our message.  I can’t thank you enough for the hard work you offered generously.

To the 18TH District citizens who actually voted for me – thank you so much for your vote of confidence.  I promise to uphold the conservative principles that we discussed on the campaign trail.  And to the 18th District citizens who chose to cast their votes elsewhere – I pledge to be your representative as well and to listen to all sides of all issues.

Thanks again to everyone who played a part in the success of our campaign.  I am absolutely looking forward to working hard for our 18th district and our state!

Now it’s your Turn!

Tuesday will mark the end of the election season. This race has been a very long, hard, expensive race. But, I would do it all over again because I know how important this seat is to the State of WA.  We have just a few days to make our case to the voter! Please encourage your family and friends to vote…and explain to them why it’s so important. This seat is so important if we are to achieve any measure of balance in Olympia.  It’s no secret the Democrats want to create new ‘revenue’ by raising taxes and creating new ones, like a new state income tax.  It’s even in their Party Platform, which they strive to enact. We can win! We just need to VOTE!!

Now it’s time to do your part!  It’s time for you to exercise that sacred right that so many have fought and died for throughout our nation’s history.   You need to VOTE!   Regardless of how you feel about other races on your ballot, this race will likely impact your life and the lives of all Washingtonians for years to come.   Imagine a state income tax. Imagine less oversight on the already out of control agencies that encroach on our daily lives.  Imagine the same Democrat party, who has created the education crisis, continuing to put special interests ahead of our children.

Who votes and how we vote will determine the fate of our state.

I’m honored by your support and I appreciate your vote.

Association of Realtors Endorse Hoff!

The Clark County Association of Realtors has endorsed Larry Hoff for State Representative in the 18th Legislative district.  Larry was informed of the endorsement by The Association’s Public Affairs Director, Rian Davis in a phone call Thursday.

“The Clark County Association of Realtors is one of the most important players in protecting private property rights and addressing housing affordability here in Clark County,” Hoff said.   “I am deeply honored that the association has decided that I am the better choice when it comes to representing the people on these critical issues.”

According to their website;
“One of the key services offered to members by the Clark County Association of REALTOR® is research and information on governmental activities, and representation before local governments by Government Affairs Committee Members and a Governmental Affairs Consultant (GAC).

CCAR government action policies are developed through the Governmental Affairs Committee and reported to and approved by the CCAR Board of Directors. CCAR positions and policies in support of private property rights and to the right of REALTORS® to conduct business are advanced pro-actively through contact with public officials, BOD resolutions, press releases, position papers and information forums and testimony before public bodies.

The objective of the policies is to increase REALTOR® visibility within governmental entities and with the public, influence change when appropriate to ensure the continued protection of property rights, and support reasonable community planning and infrastructure development to promote affordable housing.”

Pot, Meet Kettle!

Earlier this week Larry Hoff’s opponent sent out an email claiming that an independent expenditure promoting Larry Hoff’s campaign was… “a Republican Special Interest group…” and is “…trying to buy voters in the 18th District.”

Well Pot, meet the Kettle!
A quick review of Larry’s opponent’s Public Disclosure filings shows her campaign has received direct contributions up to nearly $140,000.00 from liberal leaning and Democrat special interests groups.  That’s not all!!!!  Many of these groups are from outside Clark County!   $75,000 has come from the House Democrat Campaign Committee who is based in Seattle!
She’s very proud to be financed by these groups and posts them like NASCAR sponsorships.

The next time you hear Larry’s opponent act outraged about outside money buying votes, ask her…   Who has bought her votes?
