Service Through Continued Service

One of the great benefits to being on the campaign trail is the opportunity to meet people who live to serve their communities.  One such person is John Kaiser who I had the pleasure to meet at the Camas Days Parade.

John Kaiser is a veteran who has dedicated his professional life to helping other vets. As a vet myself, I understand John’s passion but his commitment takes service to his fellow vets to another level.

According to Veteran Outdoors’ website, their mission… “is to honor our country’s wounded veterans’ patriotism and their sacrifice by providing quality hunting, fishing and outdoor related activities.
Their goal… “is to raise public awareness about the therapeutic effects that being in the outdoors actually has on the mental and physical disabilities of our country’s wounded men and women. We will also provide a platform for veterans to tell their own stories in their own words.”
